Your body can't store
unused protein.

Muscle protein synthesis (MPS) has a ceiling. Once triggered — typically by ~3–4g of leucine — it runs for around 2–3 hours and then shuts off, regardless of how much more protein you eat. The excess is simply oxidised for energy.

IS THE MPS SCIENCE LEGIT?
Yes. The protein pulse model is based on peer-reviewed research, including work by Stuart Phillips (McMaster University) and Luc van Loon (Maastricht University) — two of the world's leading experts in protein metabolism and muscle physiology.
DOES IT WORK IF I EAT 3 MEALS?
Absolutely. 3 evenly-spaced pulses still significantly outperforms loading most of your protein into one meal. PULSE will show your distribution score and flag if you'd benefit from a 4th pulse like a pre-bed snack (e.g. casein or cottage cheese).
HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM MYFITNESSPAL?
